The organizing committee of the European Car of the Year competition has announced the results of the jury voting at the Brussels Motor Show. Jeep Avenger compact crossover named European Car of the Year 2023. reported on the official website of the competition.

As a result of the voting by 57 jury members, Avenger received 328 points. Volkswagen ID.Buzz electric crossover took second place and Nissan Ariya took third place. It is followed by Kia Niro, Renault Austral and Peugeot 408. In seventh place are Subaru Solterra and Toyota bZ4X, these cars are jointly developed by the two Japanese automakers and have the same design.

The Car of the Year jury consists of 57 automotive journalists from 22 European countries. The competition turns 60 in 2023. The organizing committee of the competition emphasized in a message that the Jeep brand belonging to the Stellantis concern has won the Car of the Year award for the first time in its history.

Avenger is a compact crossover on electric traction (overall length – just over 4 m), equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 156 hp. and a traction battery below the floor that provides a range of up to 400 km on the WTLP cycle.
