The truck driver spent almost a week next to a truck that fell into a ditch in eastern Kazakhstan. informs Sputnik.kz.
The driver of a truck carrying a particularly dangerous cargo was driving from Aktogay (a village in the Ayagöz district) to Ust-Kamenogorsk, fell into a ditch and got stuck on the 340th km of the Almaty highway. In anticipation of help, the truck driver settled into a roadside cafe not far from where the car had left the road. According to the man, no one can help him save the truck.
“On the afternoon of January 5, the road was cleared by a private contractor. An attempt was made to remove the TIR stuck in the snow, but was unsuccessful. While trying to tow, the road workers broke my cable and left,” said Vladimir.
Representatives of the KazAvtoZhol highway operator explained that they tried to save the transport vehicle several times, but were unable to do so with the help of a grader. On the sixth day of waiting (January 8), the driver said he had delivered the dangerous goods and was now empty.
“We need serious tracked vehicles and a very strong cable. I’m begging for help. It will get cold soon, then you will not be able to tow the car at all,” he said.
Like clarifies The man refuses to be evacuated without his truck and insists that he be removed from the ditch, citing the Ministry of Emergencies. For this, according to him, military equipment is needed. The Ministry of Emergencies noted that the driver was offered his evacuation several times.
“The Ministry of Emergencies will apply to the Ministry of National Defense and try to persuade the man to evacuate from the scene. According to rescuers, more than one tracked vehicle will be needed to take out the truck,” he said.
