Used cars in Russia have become more than a third more expensive in 2022.

The average price of a used car was 1.325 million rubles. In December 2021, the car was sold at a price of about 970 thousand rubles, that is, the price increase for the year was 335 thousand rubles, or 37%.

The increase in the cost of a car in the secondary market largely depends on the year of manufacture and model. So three-year-old cars increased in price by an average of 39% and seven-year-old cars by 32%.

At the same time, for example, a five-year-old Hyundai Solaris has become 26% more expensive during this period and a Volkswagen Tiguan of the same age 35%.
