The authors of the IhaveCPU YouTube channel compared NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 TI video cards in 16 GB version and 12 GB video memory in modern games of 1440p. Despite the difference in the technical features, in some cases the new model was able to show superior results than a more expensive version, 4PDA.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows (1440p, Ultra, RT, DLSS balance with frames production), RTX 5060 Ti showed an average of 110-120 FPS, RTX 5070-140-180 FPS. Forza Horizon 5 (1440p, Extreme): RTX 5060 TI – 124 FPS, RTX 5070 – 159 FPS.
China Black Myth: Wukong (Cinematic Mode, RT, DLSS balance with the production of personnel): RTX 5060 TI 56 FPS and RTX 5070 – 80 FPS showed. For 4K leaves (Ultra) Red Dead Redemption 2 went to RTX 5060 Ti in 61 FPS and to RTX 5070 in 84 FPS.
The blogger also tested Cyberpunk 2077 (1440p, maximum settings, DLSS balance with personnel production) and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (with 1440p, very high settings, RT, DLSS balance). In the first game, the result was 100-170 FPS and 165-220 FPS, 120-135 FPS (RTX 5060 TI) and 160-195 FPS (RTX 5070), respectively.
In most cases, the experiment has shown that the RTX 5060 Ti is approximately 30% lower than the RTX 5070 in performance with the same graphics settings. However, in games that demand the volume of video memory such as Indiana Jones and Great Circle and Last of Us II Remastered, a model with 16 GB video memory showed the DLSS and personnel production technology better.
The test was performed on a computer with Intel Core i5-14500 and 32 GB DDR5-5600 RAM.
