Sony has announced that there is an increase in the cost of all tariff plans for the PlayStation Plus subscription in Türkiye. This was convinced by the Gazeta.ru correspondent who received an appropriate notification via mail.
According to Sony’s letter, for new users and existing ones on April 16 – new prices will come into force as of the next extension of the subscription.
Now the most expensive tariff, PS Plus Deluxe, 2740 pounds (about 5.9 thousand rubles) instead of 4266 pounds (about 9.2 thousand rubles) will be offered. PS plus extra version of 2340 to 3645 pounds (5 to 7.9 thousand rubles) price increases, while the basic tariff ps plus basis – 1400 from 1400 (3 to 4.6 thousand rubles).
However, it should be remembered that these are the prices of independent tariffs in the presence of a Turkish bank card. Buying subscription with intermediaries will cost much more expensive – average intermediaries offer 1.5-2 times more.
The company explains the increase in the need to protect the quality of service. In other countries, including Argentina and Australia, similar prices have been recorded before.
The Turkish PS store is used by Russian users of the Sony console after the closure of the Russian PS store in 2022. However, since then, games and subscription prices in Türkiye have increased over and over again, which will affect the attractiveness of the region for players. In this context, many players began to record Indian accounts.
