Vinay Hiremath, co-founder of the loom app, which earned $ 975 million (about 99.7 billion rubles), admitted about the difficulties of life after achieving wealth. about this reports Telegram channel NN.
Hiremath shared on his blog that he lost his inspiration and sense of purpose. After the successful deal, the developer tried various activities: he founded a company, went to the Himalayas without any climbing experience, and worked on the DOGE project for four weeks.
But none of these hobbies satisfied him. As a result, the developer went to Hawaii to find himself and sort out his emotions.
“Last year my life became a blur. After selling my company, I found myself in a completely unusual situation: I would never have to work again. It all seems trivial but uninspiring. I don’t have core desires that drive me to make money or gain status. I have infinite freedom, but I don’t know what to do with it, and to be honest, I’m not very optimistic about life,” Hiremath admitted.
Now an IT professional, he’s studying physics in Hawaii to later start a company that produces “real things.” At the same time, he is prepared for the fact that his hobby will ultimately lead nowhere.
