The Russian Ministry of Education plans to add video game developers and artificial intelligence (AI) specialists to the list of professions and specialties of secondary vocational education. about this reports “Parliamentary Newspaper” (PG).
According to the plans, starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, young people will be able to work as game experts after both the ninth and eleventh grades. The duration of education will be three years and ten months for those who enter after the ninth grade, and two years and ten months for those who enter after the eleventh grade. University graduates will be ready to work in accordance with the professional standard of “Communication, Information and Communication Technologies”.
The federal training standard for the specialty “Development of computer games, augmented and virtual reality” includes studies on the development of software modules, immersive and multimedia applications, testing of information systems, 3D modeling and visualization of system components.
