A new feature based on artificial intelligence has been added to WhatsApp messenger for Android. App developers reported that the chatbot, using Meta AI technology, can remember some of the user correspondence to provide the most relevant responses. The editors of the Readovka publication introduced this innovation it looked like suspicious.
Readovka suspects that “a chatbot based on the Meta AI neural network automatically remembers part of the correspondence, allegedly in order to “give more relevant answers.”
According to the developers, this feature is under development. Users will be able to manage saved data through the Memory section, where they can delete information from the chatbot at their discretion.
WhatsApp is an American free instant messaging and voice over IP service. The service allows users to exchange text and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and exchange pictures and other files. To register you must provide a mobile phone number. More than 2 billion people worldwide use this service every month.
