The second day of the Pwn2Own hacking contest in Ireland earned participants more than $350,000. Experts carried out a successful attack on the Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone by detecting 51 zero-day vulnerabilities. reports “Hacker”.

Taking into account the 516.2 thousand dollars earned on the first day, the total amount paid in the hacking contest organized by Trend Micro Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) reached almost 850 thousand dollars.

One of the notable attacks of the second day was the hacking of the Samsung Galaxy S24, carried out by Ken Gannon from the NCC Group team, which earned 50 thousand dollars. The expert used five vulnerabilities to install the application and gain shell access.

It is stated that this year, ZDI offered a reward of 250 thousand dollars to those who detect vulnerabilities in Pixel 8 and iPhone 15, but none of the participants took on these tasks.
