Google has removed the Pixel Stand 2 charger from all its stores worldwide due to incompatibility with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold foldable smartphone. Portal reports this 9to5Google.
Journalists noticed that wireless charging is no longer possible to find by searching on the Google Store website. It is also missing from the device’s accessories section. When you try to go to a product page using a link, the “Add to Cart” button disappears and the second button redirects to the home page.
The second-generation Pixel Stand is no longer available in the US, Canada, Japan, and other European countries. The device was sold even after the launch of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL. This is the only wireless charger that can deliver a maximum charging power of 23W; other wireless chargers will operate at 12W.
However, it turned out that the Pixel Stand 2 is not compatible with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold due to the placement of the charging coil. Google apparently removed the charger from sale when the foldable smartphone was launched on September 4. The company itself has not yet commented on the situation and has not released an alternative to the Pixel Stand 2.
Previously reportedHe said that owners of expensive Google Pixel smartphones are complaining about problems with the display.
