A day before the official release of the game Astro Bot, reviews of the platformer began to appear in the media. At the time of publication, the average score of the game on Metacritic was 94 points. The developers have successfully paid homage to the PlayStation legacy of the last 30 years, incorporating many references and characters that will please long-time fans of the console. Team Asobi has also once again demonstrated an interesting use of the DualSense gamepad’s capabilities. Some journalists have called Astro Bot one of the best platformers in history.
Astro Bot was also praised for its ease of gameplay, allowing players to load levels, collect missed items, and exit the game without having to complete a stage.
Among the game’s drawbacks, critics noted minor technical issues such as crashes that could wipe out some of the game’s progress.
In general, journalists believe that Astro Bot has every chance of becoming a modern PlayStation mascot, thanks to its high quality and addictive gameplay.
