MTS conducted a survey on subscribers’ mobile habits, identifying the main irritating factors and user needs. According to a study, the results of which are available at socialbites.ca, 70% of Russians want to be able to record telephone conversations.
It is stated that 37% of those who want to record conversations want to use this function to remind their colleagues of agreements, and 41% want to use it not to forget important details.
The study also showed that 54 percent of Russians are annoyed by calls from unknown numbers. The second most important factor is waiting for calls from unknown numbers, which forces us to accept all calls in a row. The third place among the irritating factors is long conversations, especially among people over 45.
Many users are tired of calling about problems that can be solved without a phone call, as well as situations when friends do not answer the phone. Also, 44% of respondents admitted that they searched for information about a number on the Internet after a missed call, and more than half of women immediately wrote the number in the phone book with special notes.
Young people more often check whether the interlocutor is comfortable talking on the phone: 37% of respondents aged 18-24 do this regularly, while among people aged 25-45 there are already 15% fewer such people. Only 20% of people over 45 say this.
The largest share of respondents who see the telephone as the best way to solve problems was in the Northwestern Federal District (58%). In the Far Eastern Federal District, 73% of respondents see the telephone as the best way to maintain personal communication. In the Southern Federal District, there were 48% and 69% of such people, respectively.
