The author of the YouTube channel NJ Tech compared three budget graphics cards GeForce GTX 1060, GTX 1660 and Radeon RX 580 in modern games at 1080p resolution. This was reported by Ferra.
With FSR 2.1 enabled on Medium settings and Quality mode, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty’s average frame rates were 48fps (GTX 1060), 66fps (GTX 1660), and 51fps (RX 580). In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II with Standard settings, average frame rates reached 61fps (GTX 1060), 75fps (GTX 1660), and 90fps (RX 580).
In Counter-Strike 2, average performance on High graphics settings was 95 fps (GTX 1060), 124 fps (GTX 1660), and 96 fps (RX 580). In Horizon Forbidden West, on Medium settings, the game ran at 36 fps (GTX 1060), 46 fps (GTX 1660), and 43 fps (RX 580), and in PUBG Battlegrounds, the frame rates were 113 fps (GTX 1060), 126 fps (GTX 1660), and 107 fps (RX 580).
According to the test results of three graphics cards in 12 games, the GTX 1660 showed the best performance, 25% ahead of the GTX 1060 and 18% ahead of the RX 580. The test was performed on a computer with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X processor and 32 GB RAM (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL32.
