The entire Pixel 9 smartphone series, consisting of four models, has been certified by Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC), and as a result, photos and information about these devices have been published online. The portal reports 9to5Google.
Four models were submitted for certification: Pixel 9 (GUR25), Pixel 9 Pro (GEC77), Pixel 9 Pro XL (GZC4K) and Pixel 9 Pro Fold (GGH2X). The first three were previously shown in “live” photos in the Russian publication BadgeredThere was very little information available about the foldable Pixel 9 Fold.
According to the images, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have thinner top and bottom frames on its internal screen compared to the original model. Due to the presence of thin frames, the selfie camera in the new product has been moved to the upper right corner. In addition, the photo shows that the smartphone can be opened 180 degrees, which was impossible in the first Pixel Fold.
The design of the main camera block has also been changed, which will now differ from the unified Pixel concept with a horizontal block – it will be square.
The NCC leak also revealed the battery parameters of the entire line – the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro will receive a 4558 mAh battery, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL and 9 Pro Fold will receive a 4942 mAh battery. Also in the photo is a new proprietary charger with a power of 45 W.
The Google Pixel 9 series smartphones are expected to be introduced at the Made by Google event to be held on August 13, 2024.
