South Korean technology giant Samsung stopped releasing software updates for three widely used smartphone models released in 2020. In this respect reports ShiftDelete version.
The shortlist includes Samsung Galaxy A51 5G, Galaxy A41 and Galaxy M01. Experts warn that without regular updates, these devices may become vulnerable to various risks, including security threats. Users who frequently use banking applications should pay particular attention to this issue.
ShiftDelete suggested owners of old devices to switch to new and cheaper devices like the Galaxy A55. Samsung Galaxy A55 is guaranteed to receive software updates for five years. The vendor’s product range includes models with longer support periods. For example, the manufacturer promised to support the flagship Galaxy S24 for up to seven years.
“When choosing a new device, look for models with long-term software support to ensure your device lasts longer and is more secure,” ShiftDelete writes.
