Samsung will not update more than 30 smartphones and tablets to Android 15 and One UI 7.0. The portal reports this GizmoChina.
According to the source, the update is not planned for owners of the following models: Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, S20+, S20 FE, Z Fold2, Z Flip2, A01, A02, A03, A12, A13, A22, A32, A52 and many others. Additionally, new firmware will not be released for Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, A8 10.5 (2021), S7 FE tablets. For a full list of models, visit GizmoChina.
This is not an official list as Samsung has not yet announced the roadmap for future updates. Information about Android 15 and One UI 7.0 from GizmoChina experts is based on Samsung’s update policy for its devices.
Samsung supports its flagship devices for an average of four years. But seven years of updates have already been announced for the new Galaxy S24 series. Flagship tablets are supported for four years, Galaxy A and F smartphones for two years, but some models in this series can be updated for four years.
Currently, manufacturers are actively developing and testing Android 15-based shells for their devices. The release date of the new operating system has not been announced yet and may be different for each model.
