Microsoft announced that it has made improvements to the pasting feature in the Word editor. The update is designed to eliminate standard formatting issues that annoy users when adding text or images, the portal reported. Computer World.
A new feature called merge formatting now allows users to disable the option to automatically save the original formatting of pasted text. Instead, the text you paste will automatically adjust to the size, font, and color of the document’s body text. However, unique elements such as italics or lists will retain their original formatting.
For those who prefer full compliance with the document style, there is an option called Keep text only, which allows you to completely exclude the original formatting of the pasted text.
To take advantage of the new feature, users need to go to the “File” menu in Word, then go to “Options” and “Advanced” and then enable the “Paste from other programs” option in the “Cut, copy and paste” option. Update Word for Windows 2405 Available at.
