The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that it blocked a number of the country’s official chatbots, including Telegram’s “intelligence bot”.
“Today, the administration of the Telegram platform unreasonably blocked a number of official bots opposing Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, including the “main intelligence bot”,” the ministry said in a statement about Telegram.
They believe this happened in violation of the rules and public statements made public by the messenger’s management.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine added that they continue the bot’s work on other platforms.
28 April reportedTelegram has disabled several Ukrainian chatbots that were collecting data on the location of Russian troops and facilities. According to Ukrainian publication Strana.ua, the bot Shahed, which warns about flying drones, has also been blocked.
