Yandex has launched a recruitment drive to test its Plus Gaming cloud gaming platform. In this respect reports publication “Kommersant” (“Kommersant”).
Kommersant writes that Yandex currently has a client only for computers running the Windows operating system. The company also plans to release a version for macOS by the end of the year. There are now 150 games to choose from in the Plus Gaming catalog from Steam and the launcher from publisher Lesta Games. These include GTA V, Mortal Kombat 1, Cyberpunk 2077, World of Tanks, World of Ships and more.
Plus Gaming service is paid. For users without a Yandex Plus subscription, the hourly usage fee is 80 rubles, and for users with a subscription, this rate is 55 rubles. hour. Also the user will have to pay separately for the startup. Its cost will depend on the load on Yandex servers.
Kommersant writes that Yandex is currently measuring public interest in cloud gaming and checking the “economic model” of the service.
