Experts from Don State Technical University are currently working on the creation of a Russian version of the PlayStation game console. The newspaper writes that the name of the new product is already PlaySpace. “News” with reference to developers.
“Currently, a prototype of the device is ready. “This is a mini computer with its own operating system on which you can play games,” said project manager DSTU student Artem Pazin.
PlaySpace will be powered by Intel Atom X5 processor. It will be equipped with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory. The gadget has built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapters that support 2.4 and 5 GHz networks. The HDMI interface can be used to connect to a monitor or TV.
PlaySpace features a virtual joystick that works through a mobile app built for Android and iOS. The user will not need additional controllers, which are subject to malfunction and wear.
The estimated cost of the Russian console is 47 thousand rubles. The release date is not yet known.
