American company HP banned Russians from updating drivers 23:23

The American company Hewlett-Packard (HP) eventually ceased its operations in Russia, closed its website and cut customer support. In this respect perceived Telegram channel Mash.

Journalists noticed that since March 28, the support service and services that allow updating drivers and troubleshooting problems on HP devices are no longer working. The company suspended deliveries of its products in March 2022 due to sanctions and subsequently announced the suspension of its business in Russia and Belarus.

“It no longer makes sense for us to continue operating in Russia and Belarus, and we continue to systematically discontinue our remaining businesses in these countries,” the company said in a statement at the time.

But, as Mash writes, the last deliveries to customers in the Russian Federation took place in February. In parallel, the company carried out the liquidation of the Russian legal entity LLC HP Inc. The Russian section was officially registered in 2015. The company supported, guaranteed and sold HP branded products. By the end of 2022, the company’s loss amounted to 1.7 billion rubles.
