Pixel smartphone users complained that the Google Assistant voice assistant removed alarms. In this respect reports Android Authority portal.
As journalists write, any attempt to disable active alarms with the voice command “turn off all alarms” leads to the complete deletion of all recorded alarms. This happens regardless of whether they are enabled or not.
Android Authority checked this bug and found that it affects not only Pixel 8 series smartphones but also previous generation Google devices – at least it was tested on Pixel 7. This may cause the user to be late for an important morning meeting or to the airport.
Moreover, other Android smartphones correctly execute the “turn off all alarms” command. Journalists confirmed that the voice assistant works on the Oppo Find X5 smartphone and Xiaomi smart speaker.
Google has already officially acknowledged the bug: “We’re aware of complaints about an issue with the Assistant command on Android deleting saved alarms. We’re working on a fix.”
