Tony Watkins, former head of EA Russia, has been appointed as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of publishing company Astrum Entertainment. The press service of Astrum Entertainment reported this to socialbites.ca.
Astrum Entertainment is one of the largest developers and publishers of video games for consoles, PCs and smartphones in Russia. The company’s portfolio includes more than 20 projects, including famous games such as Warface, Lost Ark, Atomic Heart.
In turn, Tony Watkins is known for heading the Russian division of the American gaming company Electronic Arts (EA) for more than 14 years. Additionally, Astrum Entertainment’s new CEO previously held leadership positions at Kaspersky Lab, ESL FaceIT Group, Lavazza Coffee and more. In total, Watkins has 25 years of experience in the Russian market.
As president of Astrum Entertainment, Watkins will reportedly actively develop the business by expanding the company’s portfolio, investing in new products, and establishing new partnerships in Russia and other countries.
