Aeroflot airline has begun the transition from iPad Fplus to Russian T1100 tablets. In this respect reports Vedomosti publication, citing representatives of the airline and the tablet manufacturer.
T1100 tablets run the Russian Aurora operating system from the Open Mobile Platform (OMP) company. OMP told Vedomosti that Aeroflot has already purchased at least 9 thousand Fplus devices. These will be produced and delivered to flight attendants and other airline employees by the end of 2024.
Aeroflot added that the company has ordered a total of 11.5 thousand T1100s. The transaction amount was not officially disclosed, but according to Vedomosti, it could reach 577 million rubles. The cost of each copy is also kept confidential. At the same time, journalists managed to find out that each tablet could cost the airline 40-50 thousand rubles.
Expert Sergei Villanov said Aeroflot switched to Russian tablets for two reasons. The first is the inability to sign a contract with Apple for the purchase and maintenance of the device. The second is access to the software control center, which allows the airline to simultaneously install the necessary applications and update the operating system on all devices simultaneously.
Putin before instructed The government will be interested in domestic game consoles.
