Windows 11 computers will learn to speak with the user’s voice 13:39

Microsoft is developing a voice-over technology called Speak for me that can speak selected text in a natural voice, including the user’s voice. In this respect reports Windows Latest portal.

The innovation is not yet available to users, but the function can be activated by making system changes to the operating system. Speak for Me may be useful for people with disabilities or those who do not want to read large documents out loud on their own.

In addition to the ability to choose your own voice to speak text, Speak for me already has prepared voices. Judging by the latest Windows example, the function does not support the Russian language, at least at this stage. Users have access to English (US, India, UK), Chinese (simplified), French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish (Spanish and Mexican).

According to the author of Windows Late, the narrator does not sound like a robot and has “surprisingly natural voice quality.”

The full version of Speak for me is expected to be released with the Windows 11 24H2 update, which is planned to be released in the fall of 2024.

Previously reportedHe said that old Windows 11 users will be forcibly updated to the new version.
