In 2023, Apple smartphones took the seventh place among the world’s best-selling smartphones. They competed only with Samsung’s budget models, says In a study by analytics company Counterpoint Research.
It was noted that Apple ranked among the seven leaders in the rankings for the first time in its history. The first three places were shared by iPhone 14, 14 Pro Max and 14 Pro, respectively. Half of the line’s sales came from the United States and China. However, iPhone 14 Plus could not enter the top 10.
In fourth place was the basic iPhone 13 model, which is especially in demand in Japan and India. The fifth, sixth and seventh places were taken by iPhone 15 Pro Max, 15 Pro and iPhone 15 smartphones.
The only other brand in the top 10 was Samsung, which took the last three places with its budget-friendly Galaxy A14 5G, Galaxy A04e and Galaxy A14 4G. However, none of Samsung’s flagship smartphones were included in the ranking.
The Counterpoint Research report confirms January data from IDC, in which Apple took the lead ahead of Samsung among the largest smartphone manufacturers at the end of last year.
