Blogger declassifies development of a new portable gaming console PlayStation 19:27

An American YouTube blogger using the pseudonym Moore’s Law is Dead, quoting sources, said that Sony has started developing a new portable gaming console that will be the successor to the PlayStation Vita. In this respect returned Attention IconEra forum users.

According to Moore’s Law Is Dead, Sony ordered the development of a special processor for the conditional PS Vita 2 from AMD. It is assumed that the chip will have 18 cores and operate at a frequency of approximately 1.8 GHz. In this way, it will be able to run games on PS Vita 2, PlayStation 4 and even PlayStation 5. But in the second case, projects will require additional optimization from developers.

As the project is in a very early stage of development, its location is unknown. Moore’s Law is Dead suggests that the PS Vita 2 could be a portable version of the PlayStation 6, launching a few years after the stationary device’s launch.

It has not been reported exactly when Sony will announce its plans for the development of PS Vita 2. The blogger believes that no news about the device should be expected in the coming years. He also does not rule out that the company will abandon the project completely over time.
