Microsoft banned users in Russia from downloading Windows 10 and 11 from its official website

The American company Microsoft has banned users from Russia from downloading Windows 10 and 11 from its official website. This has been reported CHNews.

“The Russians have lost the opportunity to download their Windows 10 and Windows 11 distributions from the Microsoft website,” the report says.

As stated in the post, users with Russian IPs are also unable to download the Media Creation Tool OS installation assistant utility.

When downloading a Windows 11 image, the message “There was a problem with your request” is displayed on the Microsoft site.

Gazeta.ru editors checked this and found out that when you try to download a tool for installing Windows 10 or 11, the site goes to a blank page with the inscription “404 – File or Directory not found”.

Microsoft has yet to comment on this.

Previously reportedthat the latest update has broken Wi-Fi on current Windows versions.

At the beginning of June, Microsoft announced a significant reduction in its operations in Russia. The company will continue to fulfill its existing contractual obligations to Russian users.
