Critics from all over the world warmly welcomed the new game of the Assassin’s Creed series, subtitled Mirage. This is due to the average predictions project on review aggregator Metacritic.
The Xbox Series X version of Assassin’s Creed Mirage received the highest score of 78 out of 100, based on 25 reviews. The PlayStation 5 and PC versions of the game received the same number of points; 77 out of 100 based on 75 and 15 reviews respectively.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place shortly before the events of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. In the game, players will take on the role of street thief Basim and rise to the status of assassin.
Journalists praise the new game for returning the series to its roots. Unlike many previous games, Mirage is a linear, story-driven stealth action game rather than an open-world action RPG. Monotonous gameplay, low level of artificial intelligence of computer opponents, and lackluster graphics were criticized.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released tomorrow, October 5, 2023. In addition to the versions mentioned, there are also copies for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will be released on iOS before the end of the year.
