Starbreeze has announced the open beta test of Payday 3, the shooter game that will be held on PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles from September 8-11. In this respect informs stop the game portal.
The tests are designed to check the health of servers and their ability to withstand large numbers of players. Participation in the test is free and open to everyone.
To access the beta version on Xbox Series X/S, you must use the Xbox Insider Hub app, and on PC you must apply via the game’s Steam page. The tests will begin on September 8 at 20:00 Moscow time and will last until September 11. Players will be able to try the cross-play mode between PC and consoles, but there is no ability to create custom lobbies so far.
The version of the game that will be available for testing was created in April 2023 and is significantly different from the version that was released. The developers warn that the interface, balance and some abilities of the characters may change before the game’s release. Players will have access to a heist scenario and four starting characters: Wolfe, Chains, Dallas and Hoxton. Two new heroes Joy and Pearl will be added to the release version.
The player’s progress in the test will be limited to level 22. The beta will feature a variety of weapons and cosmetic items, but these will expand throughout the game. Progress in testing will not be carried over to the release version. Users will also be allowed to record and stream gameplay from tests.
Payday 3 is scheduled to be released on September 21, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Owners of the Silver and Gold editions will have access to the project three days earlier than the others.
