Microsoft added a search bar to the desktop in Windows 11. says company blog.
A search bar on the desktop, reminiscent of Google’s search widget in the Android operating system, allows you to search for necessary information on the Internet or go to the desired site without the need to open a browser. Microsoft also plans to add more widgets to the desktop in the future.
This feature is currently available in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25120, which is only available to Windows Insider Program members on the Dev Update Channel.
The dev channel is primarily used for testing features early in development, and many of the innovations don’t make it to the consumer version of Windows.
