In the United States, one of the world’s first computer mice and an Engelbart encoding device were sold on PRAuction for 178.9 thousand dollars, which is about 13.7 million rubles. In this respect informs publication Hi-Tech Mail.Ru.
The mouse is the prototype of modern PC input devices. The Engelbart device differs from the new models by the presence of three keys instead of the main two, and instead of a laser it uses two disks responsible for moving the cursor along the X and Y axes.
It is noted that the mouse is used in conjunction with a coding device, which is a very conditional prototype of modern keyboards. The device has five keys that can be used with the mouse to dial 31 combinations and enter text.
The presented model was developed more than 50 years ago. Douglas Engelbart, the inventor of the first PC mice, worked on its design.
According to Hi-Tech Mail.Ru, the price at which a set of rare gadgets was sold is a record for all computer mice in history.
Formerly socialbites.ca Wrote that a former Apple employee sold an unopened iPhone 2G at auction for about $55,000.
