Estimated in Russia the possibility of disconnecting the country’s GPS

Konstantin Kreydenko, editor-in-chief of the GLONASS Herald magazine, spoke in an interview. DEA News”Whether it is possible to distinguish Russia from the satellites of the GPS navigation system.

He described it as a difficult and unlikely task.

“To shut down Russia, you have to shut down half the groups at once. And after the passage of Russia, they need to be opened. Once you open them, you will need to run the tests again. That’s being rude. So the task is very difficult,” he said.

In his opinion, such a step is fraught with reputational and financial losses, as it will inevitably affect the countries neighboring the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Dmitry Yadrov, Deputy Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, sent a letter to Igor Moiseenko, Director General of the State Air Traffic Management Company, asking air carriers to prepare for flights without GPS.

The new proposals are about the possible shutdown of the American global navigation satellite system. More details – in “socialbites.ca” material.
