Microsoft created a glove for touching virtual objects

American IT company Microsoft patented a virtual reality glove. by publication PatentedApplethe detected device will have haptic feedback.

According to a patent in the database of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), VR gloves will enable tactile communication when picking up virtual objects. Microsoft engineers created a power mechanism on the back of the glove with built-in sensors and a compact motor.

As a result, if the user touches an object in virtual reality, the sensors will give a signal and the engine will simulate the touching objects. The document states that the gloves are planned to be used in both professional settings and video games.

Meta (considered an extremist organization) in November 2021 introduced A prototype glove that allows the user to tactilely detect virtual objects.

Meta’s device is equipped with 15 ribbed and inflatable plastic pads located on the palm and fingers. It was claimed that the user could feel the weight of the gloves and virtual object.
