WhatsApp will have a long-awaited feature 08:59

In the beta version of WhatsApp on iOS, they found the function to convert voice messages to text. In this respect informs WABetaInfo portal.

It was noted that the development of the innovation was known in 2021, but later studies on this feature were interrupted for unknown reasons.

Now, in the test version of WhatsApp 23.3.0.73 on iOS, a corresponding function and a special notification were found that explain the causes of transcription errors. For example, speech cannot be recognized or the transcription language does not match the system language.

At the same time, as the source notes, voice messages are decoded on the device so that no one except the interlocutors knows the contents of the chat.

The decoding function of voice messages is still in test mode, the timing of the emergence of innovations in stable versions of WhatsApp for Android, iOS and other platforms is not reported.

There is a similar function in Telegram messenger, but it is available only to users of paid subscriptions. Presumably on WhatsApp, the transcript will be available to all users without any restrictions after publication.

Formerly socialbites.ca saidThat WhatsApp has the ability to broadcast audio statuses.
