Curious developer AlexisXDA from the XDA-Developers forum published Custom firmware for 2018 Samsung smartphones based on Android 13.
The custom firmware called Noble ROM brings the January security patch alongside the Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ and Note 9 smartphones with Android 13 and One UI 5.0 proprietary shell. The developer is known to use official versions of the Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S20 operating system to create the firmware.
The developer managed to adapt the new shell and Android version for 2018 smartphones with the Exynos 9810 chip, but the firmware is not available for Galaxy S9, S9 + and Note 9 owners based on Snapdragon 845 processor.
It is stated that the firmware is not as stable as the official version, but it brings new features and allows the user to install applications compatible with current versions of Android.
