The retailer M.Video-Eldorado reports that in January-March, laptops from Chinese brands accounted for 30% of sales in Russia. At its peak, the value was 33%, sales for the first three months reached about 285 thousand, which is one and a half times higher than a year earlier.

The leader is reported to be the Honor brand, whose demand has nearly quadrupled. As for specific models, the MagicBook X 15 (BBR-WAI9), MagicBook X 14 (NBR-WAI9), MagicBook 15 (BMH-WFQ9HN), a model from Huawei is the MateBook D 14 (NbM-WDQ9), and See also MacBook Air 13 (2020) from Apple.
Overall, sales increased by almost a third compared to last year, and total sales of all laptops in the Russian market in the first three months of this year were about 950,000 units. And this against the background of currency fluctuations, price increases and sanctions.
At the same time, last year the “Chinese” accounted for about 25% of sales.
Following the lead of the smartphone market, Chinese brands are confidently conquering the laptop segment thanks to a fairly wide range of models for different needs and an optimal combination of price and functionality, which generally distinguishes Chinese brands in the segment of digital devices. M.Video-Eldorado now has a wide range of laptops, the number of models is comparable to last year, for some brands the lines are even wider.
