Users will be able to independently check “for the presence of facial manipulations” photos or videos uploaded to the platform, as conceived by the developers. We are talking about changes in editors or replacing one person with another.
The update is expected to roll out in six months, according to the company.
In Russia in 2020, a neural network was taught to identify “fake” faces in video with more than 90% accuracy. The service was believed to be of particular interest to news and PR agencies and media companies, as they needed to verify information.
