Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung’s new horizontal folding clamshell smartphone, will have an external display one and a half times larger than the Galaxy Z Flip 4. informs The Time.News publication cites Ross Young, an insider who is Display Supply Chain Consultants and founder of DisplaySearch.
According to Yang, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will receive a few changes in terms of design and functionality. One of them will be to use a new external display. An insider claims that Samsung has equipped the new clamshell with a 3-inch OLED display. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and 4 use a 1.9-inch display.
The size of the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s internal screen will remain the same. But according to Ross Young, Samsung will use a new type of hinge that will make the crease in the fold line less noticeable.
It is not known exactly when the South Korean company will introduce a novelty. Samsung usually launches new smartphones from the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series in late summer or early autumn.
