Igor Leshchuk, the goalkeeper for Dinamo Moscow, reflected on Real Sociedad’s Arsen Zakharyan, noting that the blue-whites seem to miss the Russian talent more than he misses them. A source from Sports Express captured his thoughts on the matter.
“Are we missing Zakharyan? I think he missed us first. Quality players arrive and deliver results. We can only be happy for him that he’s thriving there now”, Leshchuk commented.
On August 19, Real Sociedad announced the transfer of Arsen Zakharyan from Dynamo Moscow, with a contract set to run until June 2029. Zakharyan made his Real Sociedad debut in the 75th minute of the clash against Las Palmas on August 25. In total, he appeared in three La Liga matches for the Spanish club, all as a substitute, and he has not yet found the back of the net in league play. The midfielder has not featured in the Champions League to date.
Real Sociedad currently occupies sixth place in La Liga with 15 points accumulated through the early part of the season.
Olga Smorodskaya, the former president of Lokomotiv Moscow, weighed in on the timing of Zakharyan’s arrival, fueling speculation about a potential early presence in the Real Sociedad squad.
