The Spanish press outlet Real Sociedad confirmed that Arsen Zakharyan, the midfielder who plays for the Russian national team, joined his first training session with the club. Reports were relayed by Sport Express, emphasizing the new signing’s immediate involvement on the training pitch.

According to the club, Zakharyan completed his initial practice with Real Sociedad, marking the start of his new chapter in San Sebastian.

Real Sociedad announced the signing on August 19, revealing a five-year contract for the 20-year-old talent. He will wear the number 12 jersey as he integrates into the squad.

The young midfielder hails from Samara and spent his early years with Dynamo’s youth system from 2017 to 2020. After progressing through the youth ranks, he earned a place with Dynamo’s main squad and accumulated three seasons at the Russian Premier League level, showcasing his growing impact in domestic football.

Prior to joining Real Sociedad, Zakharyan drew interest from several renowned European clubs, including Chelsea from London, Ajax from Amsterdam, and Feyenoord from Rotterdam, reflecting his rising reputation across European scouts and fans.

Former Dynamo coach Dmitry Bulykin commented on the defensive performances observed in the 2023/24 season, noting that there were areas of normal development and consistency in the team’s play during that period.
