About the Cup tie with Intercity: the first cup match is always a real test. He recalled past eliminations against smaller teams and noted the cup is filled with surprises. He mentioned having Intercity’s scouting report since they faced the reserve squad of Barcelona.
Can Iñaki Peña play as goalkeeper? We have submitted the paperwork to register Peña from the first team, he trained on the second day and we are awaiting the decision.
Espanyol wants to press Barcelona. The coach said the team did what was required under the referee’s instructions, nothing more.
There will be no appeal over Jordi Alba. We considered challenging the second yellow card, but officials indicated there is little chance of success.
