Vladimir Mineev Faces Time Off and Big Wins in Kickboxing and MMA

The head of AMC Fight Nights, Kamil Gadzhiev, explained that Vladimir Mineev, the Russian fighter who had been in the special military operation zone in Ukraine, took several days off. Gadzhiev cites information from RIA Novosti Sports.

Mineev is not currently available for negotiations about a fight. The promoter plans to wait for his return from the operation, noting that there is little value in discussing a match while he is away. Training would also be impractical during that period, according to Gadzhiev.

Mineev last competed in MMA on October 16 at an AMC Fight Nights event, facing Magomed Ismailov and retaining the middleweight title with a knockout in the third round. The performance reaffirmed his status as a top competitor in the division.

On November 18 in Moscow, Mineev delivered a knockout victory in a kickboxing bout against Fernando Rodriguez, another Russian opponent, finishing him in the third round. The win added to Mineev’s growing resume in stand-up combat, underscoring his versatility across disciplines.

The 32-year-old athlete has held world and European titles in professional kickboxing, reflecting a track record of success across major organizations and competitions. Earlier reports indicated that Mineev was set to receive the honorary badge For Faith and Virtue from the Ulyanovsk region, acknowledging his accomplishments and service to the sport and community.
