New details continue to surface around the Negreira affair, a chapter that saw FC Barcelona part ways with both Enríquez Negreira and his son Javier in 2018. The younger Negreira shifted focus away from arbitration reports for Barça and turned toward other ventures, including mental training programs that involved players, coaches, and referees. It is noted that five former Barcelona stalwarts tapped his services during this period.

According to OKDiario, a span from April 1, 2020, to November 15, 2022, saw Negreira Jr. receive roughly 100,000 euros for coaching services provided. The sum, described as modest in scale, reportedly involved contributions from five ex-Barcelona players who helped cover part of the costs involved.
