Spartak Moscow’s defender Daniil Khlusevich spoke to TASS, emphasizing a strong team atmosphere and denying any internal conflicts within the squad.
He stated clearly that there are no disagreements among teammates and that everything is going smoothly. Khlusevich pointed out that rumors often swirl around clubs, but in Spartak, the reality on the pitch and in the locker room remains positive and cohesive.
On October 18, journalist Ivan Karpov reported that Spartak’s head coach Guillermo Abascal made a disciplinary decision, suspending Alexander Sobolev from training with the first team for a breach of club rules.
Subsequently, Metaratings reported that the coach was dissatisfied with Sobolev’s attitude to training. At the same time, there were comments about the Spaniard’s approach to one of his defenders, Georgiy Dzhikia, suggesting some friction or dissatisfaction within the squad over training dynamics.
As a result of the disciplinary measures, Sobolev did not start the match against Paris Nizhny Novgorod, but he did participate after the break, entering the field in the second half as Spartak pushed to secure a result.
In that contest, Spartak Moscow, known for their depth and fighting spirit, secured a 2-0 victory over Paris Nizhny Novgorod during the 12th round of the Russian Premier League. After twelve rounds, the team stood in fourth place in the league standings, having accumulated 20 points and maintaining a competitive stance in the early portion of the season.
Earlier, Valery Gladilin, a former footballer, shared his view that Abascal faces significant challenges at Spartak, highlighting the pressures and expectations the team is navigating under the current leadership and the evolving squad dynamics.
