Fyodor Smolov, the Dynamo Moscow football forward, shared which sport he would like to explore next. The club’s press service relayed his words to the public.
He said he would pick basketball. He is an admirer of the NBA and follows its action with enthusiasm. Hockey, he notes, would be tougher for him, even though as a child he spent many winters skating in Saratov. When reflecting on the idea of an Ice Age moment, Smolov admitted he had not yet revealed all his plans. He confesses that although certain goals remain unfulfilled, taking part in the Ice Age is among those he really wants to pursue for the media spotlight.
Smolov joined Dynamo in January of last year and became part of the Blue-Whites. His debut for the team came in the Russian Championship in 2007. Before Dynamo, he played for Lokomotiv in the capital. Over the years, he helped the squad win multiple accolades, including silver and bronze medals at the Russian Championship, two national cup titles, and the Russian Super Cup.
In the current season, Smolov has appeared in 16 Russian Premier League matches for Dynamo, contributing seven goals, including three penalties, and recording two assists.
Smolov also addressed retirement considerations, saying he is not prepared to hang up his boots at 36.
