The clash began when Shved and members of another party crossed paths on the city street, and witnesses indicate the confrontation quickly escalated. Several individuals assaulted Shved on the sidewalk, leaving him bleeding near the ear as bystanders and restaurant staff rushed to help. Medical teams on site provided initial care, and Shved was then transported to a hospital for further assessment and treatment, according to CSKA.
The following day, Shved returned to the court for the seventh game of the VTB United League semi-final series against Lokomotiv-Kuban.
