Madrid’s injury toll

Real Madrid faces significant squad losses entering the game. Carlo Ancelotti cannot rely on his key attacking trio, with Vinícius Júnior and Karim Benzema sidelined. Marco Asensio also misses out due to a muscle overload, while Dani Carvajal is suspended. Mariano Díaz is unavailable with an injury, denying Ancelotti an additional option up front.

With those gaps, the coach must reshuffle the attack. Fede Valverde could operate from the right, and Rodrygo’s role remains in doubt. The Brazilian could be used as a false nine, which might free Eden Hazard for a possible move on the left. Álvaro Rodríguez, the Castilla youngster, is also in contention to lead the line, with Rodrygo on the left and Valverde on the right.

In midfield, Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos could be spared after starting midweek against Rayo Vallecano. That would pave the way for Aurélien Tchouaméni and Dani Ceballos to alongside Eduardo Camavinga. In defense, Lucas Vázquez could come in for Carvajal on the right, while Ferland Mendy returns on the left. The central pairing would feature Éder Militao and David Alaba, with Thibaut Courtois protecting the goal as usual.

Sevilla’s rotation approach in the finale

Sevilla, led by José Luis Mendilibar, heads into the match with one eye on Wednesday’s final against Roma. The coach is expected to rotate several players who started in the midweek win over Elche, giving opportunities to less regulars such as Karim Rekik, Papu Gómez or Rafa Mir, the team’s physical presence up front.

There is also a chance that academy product Manu Bueno could feature to provide energy in midfield for veterans like Ivan Rakitic. The goalkeeper Marko Dmitrović will be between the posts, and Gonzalo Montiel may replace Jesús Navas on the right, with Marcos Acuña operating on the left after suspension prevented him from playing in the Europa League final.
