Valery Karpin, head coach of the Russian national football team, revealed the players selected for the extended squad ahead of two upcoming fixtures against Vietnam and Thailand.
The goalkeeping group features Andrei Lunev of Dynamo, Alexander Maksimenko from Spartak, Evgeniy Latyshonok of Zenit, Ilya Lantratov with Lokomotiv, and Matvey Safonov, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain.
The defensive line combines players from several top clubs. Spartak is represented by Ruslan Litvinov and Daniil Khlusevich, CSKA contributes Igor Diveev and Danil Krugovoy, Lokomotiv adds Evgeny Morozov and Alexander Silyanov, Zenit provides Vyacheslav Karavaev and Yuri Gorshkov, Rostov supplies Ilya Vakhania, Andrey Langovich, and Maxim Osipenko, and Wings of the Soviets contribute Alexander Soldatenkov.
In midfield, Rostov’s Danil Glebov is joined by Artem Karpukas, Dmitry Barinov, Alexey Batrakov, Ilya Samoshnikov, and Sergei Pinyaev from Lokomotiv, with Daler Kuzyaev at Le Havre. Also included are Danil Prutsev, Anton Zinkovsky (Spartak), Nikita Krivtsov and Danila Kozlov (both Krasnodar), Daniil Fomin from Dynamo, Sergei Babkin of Wings of the Soviets, Ivan Oblyakov from CSKA, Maxim Glushenkov, and Andrey Mostovoy (both Zenit), along with Lechi Sadulayev from Akhmat.
The attacking line features Dynamo’s Konstantin Tyukavin, Maxim Vorobyov who plays at the railway workers’ club, Tamerlan Musaev of the armed forces, and Herman Onugha, the Danish league top scorer at Vejle.
The fixtures will take place at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam. The Russian side is set to face Vietnam on September 5, followed by a match against Thailand on September 7. Kickoff is scheduled for 16:00 Moscow time for both games.
