Randjelovic Opens Up: Food, Vodka, and Life at Rubin Kazan

Kazan’s Serbian midfielder Rubin Lazar Randjelovic spoke about his favorite Russian meals and revealed he had the chance to sample vodka during his time in the country. The remarks were shared with Sports Express.

“I’ve settled in well. I found a few Serbian restaurants nearby and I go there when I miss home cooking. My favorite Russian dish for breakfast is honey cheesecake. It seems like many players enjoy cheesecakes too. There isn’t a similar dish back in Serbia. And yes, I tried vodka a bit. It’s a drink that packs a punch, so I don’t overdo it”, Randjelovic explained, according to Sports Express.

Randjelovic joined Rubin Kazan from Ural in the recent summer transfer window. He has appeared in eight Russian Premier League matches this season, though the results have not been as effective as hoped. His football journey includes stints with Greek side Olympiacos, Spanish club Leganes, and his homeland’s Radnicki Nis. His Rubin contract runs through the summer of 2024. Transfermarkt lists the Serbian forward’s market value at around 2 million euros.

The former RPL player also addressed questions about his monthly expenditures, offering insights into how a professional athlete manages living costs while competing at a high level. Source: Sports Express.
